It seemed like a good idea at the time, but let’s face it, you would be better off without that tattoo. If you are worried that laser tattoo removal either won’t be successful enough or will leave you with a scar instead of a tattoo, we have great news. At Ageless Medical, we will permanently remove your unwanted tattoo using the most powerful, dual pulse (pico and nano) laser available today, the PiQo4. We are South Florida’s most experienced tattoo removal provider, and by using the right technology for your ink, we can successfully and permanently turn your tattoo into a distant memory. Even better, we never lock you into a contract, so you get to stay in control of the process.
The Top Choice in South Florida for Tattoo Removal
Unfortunately, many companies in South Florida claim to be tattoo removal experts when in reality they are using lasers not best suited for tattoo removal or old, outdated technology. At Ageless Medical, our practitioners have been successfully removing tattoos since 2002 and staying up to date on the latest developments in tattoo removal.
The difference is our technology. We use the PiQo4 dual pulse tattoo removal laser, which makes the process faster and more thorough. The biggest advance in laser tattoo removal technology over the past several years has been a faster pulse duration (pico vs. nano). However, combining multiple pulse durations, which is possible with the PiQo4, has proved to be even better. The PiQo4 combines a four-wavelength system with pico-second and nano-second pulses, technology that has never been possible before, even when combining multiple lasers. This is the most effective way to remove a tattoo and results in fewer necessary treatments for success.
What’s more, Ageless Medical will beat any laser tattoo removal quote and will never make you sign a contract like the national chains do!

During laser tattoo removal at Ageless Medical, dual lasers are used to selectively target and destroy the tattoo without damaging the surrounding tissue, which eliminates scarring. Our lasers have differing wavelengths and pulse durations, and different laser beams are absorbed by specific colors, allowing our medical practitioners to choose the precise combination of lasers for the depth and color of a particular tattoo as well as for multicolored tattoos. After treatment, the skin is more uniform and natural in appearance, although some possible changes in skin texture and color may be unavoidable.
During the consultation, your medical practitioner will advise you on what to expect from laser treatment. Erin Owoc, ARNP and Julie Lorenzo, ARNP, who have removed more than 3,000 tattoos since 2002, will explain the different options available to you, the procedure itself, and its risks and limitations. She will begin with a complete medical history and an examination of your tattoo and your overall skin tone and quality. The size, style, color, and location of the tattoo, as well as the color and texture of your skin, will determine the type of laser treatment recommended. Your Nurse Practitioners Erin and Julie will also want to know when, where, and by whom your tattoo was applied, as these factors can also affect the method of treatment.
The medical practitioner will cleanse the area on and around the tattoo to remove oils on the skin. During the procedure, you’ll feel intense emissions of light penetrate the tattooed area. You will hear noise as the laser does its work, both from the machine itself and from the fans that operate continuously to reduce heat in the room and clean the air.
The area may be red, as if mildly sunburned, for several weeks. There may be some bruising, and with deeper tattoos, some bleeding is not uncommon. The area may be treated with an antibiotic ointment and a bandage applied. Recovery times depend on the extent of the treatment and the individual’s capacity to heal. Redness and sensitivity may continue for a few weeks, and there may be discoloration and a change in skin texture in the area, which will gradually improve. You should avoid exposing the treated area to the sun, as this may slow healing. Most people are very satisfied with the pigment removal achieved through laser treatment. It is important to remember, however, that your skin may never look as perfect as it did before you had the tattoo, even though the tattooed pigment has been removed.
It is uncomfortable. We use a cold Zimmer to pre-cool the area to help with the heat sensation.
Several additional factors can affect the long-term outcome of your treatment. Older tattoos are easier to remove than newer ones; tattoos applied by amateurs are easier to remove than those applied by professionals. Certain pigments are easier to remove, with fluorescent colors being the least responsive to treatment. The type of ink used may also affect the results, since some inks create a paradoxical reaction, causing the skin to become darker instead of lighter. One of our Nurse Practitioners will advise you on what to expect based on your particular tattoo and how many treatments to expect.
With modern lasers, especially the new PiQo4, any scarring is quite rare, although some changes in skin texture and color are common. The area treated by the laser may become very lighter or darker than the surrounding skin.
Yes. The technology has improved considerably from years ago requiring fewer visits and total removal.
No sooner than every 8 weeks. It takes that long for your body to take away the ink particles so coming in sooner does not make your tattoo go away any faster.
There are a lot of variables that you have to take into account: Age of tattoo, color of tattoo ink, location on body, how much ink did the artist put in, is it a cover-up, and your health. We have seen 2 treatments for older light tattoos and upwards to 12 treatments for new, deep, colored tattoos.
Yes. The best ones are older tattoos that are just black ink.
It depends on the size of the tattoo but small tattoos can take 1-2 minutes a treatment and larger sleeves can take up to 30 min to treat.
It depends on the size of the tattoo. The best way to get an estimate is to come in for a consultation so we can see the tattoo or email it to us at info@TattooRemovalSouthFlorida.com.
Not if you take care of it while it is healing. You have to keep it out of the sun and take care of it while it is healing or it can scar. You can develop lighter skin in the area especially if we are removing colored ink or you have darker skin.
