What are the known effects of growth factors in the blood?

Every growth factor found in the harvested blood to be used in a PRP treatment has different benefits. For instance, the Epidermal Growth Factor is responsible for regulating, proliferating, and differentiating cell growth during the skin tissues' remodeling phase. The Transforming Growth Factor promotes the angiogenesis phase involving the production of new blood vessels. Meanwhile, the Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor is important in both angiogenesis and vasculogenesis, as well as in the growth of blood vessels.

Other growth factors like keratinocytes, interleukins, macrophages, and fibroblasts stimulate wound healing of damaged tissues and the regeneration of new skin.
